Just a bit of the manuscript I am writing. Don’t know if I will ever get it published…or even try to get it published. My brother tells me one of the most important things is to get it published which, he said, might mean changing the ending if that is what the publisher’s want. Well, I am afraid I can’t do that. The story is what it is and I am powerless to change it now that it is done. It had a life of it’s own when writing it and I can not bear changing something that came so fluidly and felt so right.
So oh well. The publishers will just have to wait till I get the next one done I guess. They wanted the ending to be more “happily ever after” but it is what it is. 
No, I’m not stubborn but I believe a writer has to be true to the story - no matter what.
